The Board of County
Commissioners of Box Elder County, Utah met in a work session at the County
Courthouse, 01 South Main Street in Brigham City, Utah at 8:00 a.m. on MARCH
23, 2004. The following members
were present:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
THE MINUTES OF THE
REGULAR MEETING OF MARCH 16, 2004 WERE APPROVED ON A MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DAVIS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER HANSENAND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED
WITH THE FOLLOWING CORRECTION, UNDER SURPLUS PROPERTY DISPOSAL REPORT THE WORD
CONFORM WAS CHANGED TO CONFORMS.

DELINQUENT TAX
MONTE MUNNS
County
Assessor/Treasurer Monte Munns reported that Bonneville Quarries Inc. (Parcel
No. 09-001-0398) have paid the base principal on their taxes. Mr. Munns is still working with the Gold
Star Stone (Parcel No. 09-001-1105) and will keep the Commissioners updated on
his efforts to collect.
IWORQ SYSTEMS
KYLE BELNAP
Kyle Belnap said IWORQ Systems is an asset management software that specializes in GASB 34. The software can help gather data for public works like all the roads in the County and different infrastructures the County has. The Commissioners referred Mr. Belnap to County Auditor Roger Handy.
INDIGENT BURIALS
LORNA RAVENBERG
Commission Secretary Lorna Ravenberg said Box Elder County has received two requests for assistance on indigent burials: Stephanie Lomen and Jeannette Turner.
MOTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Davis to pay $500.00 for each of the burials and to inform the Mortuary that they need better documentation if the County is going to increase the burial payments. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hansen and unanimously carried.
BEAR RIVER
HERITAGE/NATIONAL DESIGNATION BETH GURRISTER
Tourism Director
Beth Gurrister said the Bear River Heritage Area was formed approximately 4-5
years ago. At that time the
Commissioners signed an Interlocal Agreement.
She said on April 1, two members of the Bear River Heritage Board will
be meeting with a congressional delegation in Washington, DC regarding national
designation for the Bear River Heritage Area.
MOTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Hansen that the Commissioners give renewed support
for the Bear River Heritage Area and its strategies and goals. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Davis and unanimously carried.
WARRANT REGISTER
COMMISSIONERS
The warrant
register was signed, and the following claims were approved for payment: Claims number 30203 thru 30214 in the amount
of $1,367.80. Claims number 30215 thru
30320 in the amount of $66,027.09. Claims number 24799 was voided.

A motion was made
by Commissioner Davis to adjourn. Commissioner
Hansen seconded the motion, and the meeting adjourned at 9:34 a.m.
