Courthouse New Landscaping

Spring of 2007 brought a new face to the Box Elder County Courthouse.  The large birch trees were removed due to a tree boar problem,  after the birch trees were removed, it was obvious that the large Pine trees were mis-shapened due to the growth of the birch trees.  The County Commissioners made the decision to remove the old Pine trees as well.

The pine tree on the North part of the grounds was 77 feet tall.

In viewing old photos of the County Courthouse, it was determined that these trees were planted around the 1890's.

The pine tree on the South part of the grounds was 82 feet tall.

Once the trees were removed, the view of the courthouse was certainly opened up.
New landscaping will grace the courthouse and showcase it's beauty.

The following photos were taken at different stages of the project to re-landscape the Courthouse grounds.

The normal spring weather in Northern Box Elder County didn't seem to slow down the construction crews for long.

New cement walkways were poured.  An Octagon landing for the GI Statue was created along with a landing for a flag pole.
New spot lights were installed to luminate the beautiful building and grounds.
