July 2007
Its been over a year since this page has been updated and there is good reason for it.
The main reason is the amount of time and work that Chad Montgomerey and Brice Lucas has put forth into cleaning up the database,
updating the datasets and getting the benefits of GIS to everyone with in the county.
There realy has been some exciting times for GIS users
in Box Elder County. Currently the Box Elder County GIS office consists of Chad Montogomery (GIS Specialist) and
Brice Lucas (GIS Consultant), with 3 (three) ArcInfo licenses running ArcGIS 9.2. ARCSDE has been setup, tested and used
to allow better work flow. Since January the parcel layer has been updated
and maintained. A copy of ArcReader has been made available to every computer in the county courthouse and is being used by
a number of Departments within the county.
These efforts have lead to current activites which are, updating the pre-printed maps with current information, continual
location and attribute verification for every dataset and creation of new travel maps
