Box Elder County has an opening for a part-time Court Clerk I. The Court Clerk I performs a variety of routine clerical and secretarial duties to support the Justice Court. This position is for 18 hours per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education and Experience:
A. High School diploma or equivalent with course work in use of PC, typing and office procedures (shorthand or speed writing, desirable).
AND
B. One year of closely related experience.
OR
C. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a working knowledge of office practices, computers, and software packages; possess a knowledge and use of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation; type 40 wpm.
Must be able to exercise a great deal of tact and diplomacy; to make mathematical computations, to follow oral and written instructions, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
