Contact Us - Victim Services
Box Elder County began its victim service program in July of 2003 with a grant from Victim of Crime Act funds provided through the State of Utah to Cache Valley. The first year it was an adjunct office of the Cache County Victim Advocacy Program. The following year it came directly to the Box Elder County Attorney’s office with approval from the County Commissioners.
In the beginning it was a part-time job and has been full-time for the last 5 years. Box Elder County supports only 25% of the funds used to provide this position. The current County Attorney Steve Hadfield has been supportive of expanding the program to add an investigator and other additional positions.
